A loop is a way of working written down: the steps, the criteria that judge each
run, and the files it keeps. The cost of one is not the model call. It is the
work you stop redoing.
We moved the judgement in front of the work rather than after it. A run that
would have failed now says so before it spends anything.
The bar judges one piece of work. The number is counted over many.
That is the whole technique, and you can use it today without buying anything:
write down what good looks like before the run starts, in the words you would
use to reject it.
